Earth HourA global event. March 29th. 8 p.m.

Turn out your lights for one hour.

Go HERE to see what difference was made last year.

So, a follow up now…to celebrate Earth Hour, BDs and I read from our latest “together” novel, Swordbird by Nancy Yi Fan (I’ll note here that this author was only 12 years old when she wrote this book!) and then we played a rousing game of Crazy Eights by candlelight. It was a good time.

Did you do anything to celebrate? Do you think we need such things as Earth Hour to capture public interest regarding Global Warming or are people getting it on their own? Do you believe Global Warming is as serious as some scientists warn?

It was a blast meeting people from Russia, Greenland, the Scandinavian countries, as well as other northerners from Canada and Alaska. Beside volunteering, I took in a lot of the different events, some of the more interesting are the Inuit and Dene games which Rick Mercer does a good job of highlighting in this video. Enjoy!

If you want, let me know you’ve arrived in the comments. 🙂
