Cold as cold as cold can be

I grabbed this picture off of the internet. Obviously someone, somewhere thought that temperature was worthy of recording.

Note the snow in the background? I’m thinking a freak snowstorm rolled through and dropped the temperatures for them, thus the picture.

So, if you’re looking for the current temperature here in Yellowknife today, swing that red needle down to -44C (that’s about the same as -44F) and that would be our temperature without the wind — which, thankfully, has been slight the last few days!

Now to continue on with this exercise, imagine that everyone here is just going about their business as usual. People are out and about and continuing on as if they actually believe that someday the world will again be warm.

Me? The only thing I’m doing different is taping socks onto the dog to send him outside to pee. Oh, and I’m wishing it would warm up soon.
