So, back in May we bought ourselves a new boat to brave the vast waters of the Great Slave. Cold, deep and sometimes deadly, Great Slave is the fifth largest lake in North America and the tenth largest in the world, so understandably we wanted a good, sturdy boat with which to explore.
Needless to say, a good, sturdy boat was what we got and we christened her ‘Lillee’. We’ve been out on the water (as opposed to the land) quite often these last few months and one of our favorite past times has become finding islands upon which we can camp. Believe me when I tell you that there are hundreds. Maybe even a thousand!
Besides camping, we are also fishing fools. Below is a picture of my first Arctic Grayling catch from this past weekend.
