Bear With Me

You may notice that a number of pictures are missing throughout various posts…my old dot com is shut down now and apparently when I moved, I didn’t move the photographs as thoroughly as I should have.
Who knew?
No big deal, but it does mean I have to spend some time uploading them again. In due time though. I have an English assignment that must be completed first.
Is it spring where you are? We’re -22C this morning but have been warming up quite nicely each day to the minus single digits. The sunshine is phenomenal and BDs and I have been out and about each day enjoying the fabulous weather. Yesterday was ice skating on the oval on Frame Lake. Today we’ll be playing some shinny.
Oh, btw, GO OILERS!

Its semi spring
Snow is melting, pretty well gone in the garden but still on the lawn. I’m anxious for it to warm enough I can go play in the dirt. Already digging through my seeds to see what I want to plant where.
Did you see the Oilers game Tuesday night? They were so close. Tough to think tonight’s the last game of the season all ready. Hopefully they’ll come up with a win and go out on a high note.
We were back to -39C this morning. Ay yi yi!
Ah the gardening bug…I see you’ve got it too! I’ve got some seeds started already (lettuce, nasturtiums, sweet peas, watermelons and pumpkins) and I’m thinking that my kitchen table is going to be covered in small pots in the months to come. BH is going to have a fit!
I didn’t see all of the game…but I did see from just before Glencross’s second goal until the end. Heartbreaking after they’d tied it up to let Nolan score. But yes, I hope they have a good game tonight.
Since it’s the last of their season and taking into that one really physical game they had with the Canucks (two match ups ago), I’m wondering if tonight won’t be a barn burner like that one?
Go Oilers!
I’m itching to start some seeds!
I’ve got some tomato seeds that are supposed to get about 6-8 feet tall that I want to try, but I think they may overtake the seed starter box. Hope your seedlings are doing well. This is my first year trying sweet peas, got the mini varieties for containers, so can’t wait to plant those.
Its just a darn shame Nolan had to score to take the Oilers out. They’d really played so well that entire game, it was a bad twist of fate. Makes you wonder if Garon had been healthy down the stretch, if they’d have been in. Its too bad last night’s game didn’t count for something, other then to go out on a high note. I still cringe thinking of Stolly taking that puck to the ear. That had to be amazingly painful.
6-8 feet tomatoes? I guess you’ll be staking those! Don’t forget to soak your sweet peas overnight - it helps get them going. I’ve got the bush ones too for my window boxes.
And poor Stolly! OW! I guess it’ll help him remember the season?
I believe wholeheartedly that if Garon’s ankle had been good to go, we’d be in. But it wasn’t and so that’s the way it goes.
Definitely the Oilers have found some “click” and if they can carry it over to next season, we’ll be a strong contender for the Cup. They’ve given us some really good hockey to watch down this last stretch. I’m looking forward to the fall already.
